The Woodlands, TX — A 36-year-old woman was arrested after Montgomery County deputies conducting proactive enforcement allegedly found fentanyl and personal identifying information belonging to other people inside her vehicle.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Crime Reduction Unit deputies stopped a black Nissan SUV near the 1100 block of Lake Woodlands Drive on Sept. 3.
The driver was identified as Christina Haley of Montgomery. A records check showed Haley had three active felony warrants from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for:
• Tampering with Government Records
• Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information
• Credit/Debit Card Abuse
Haley was taken into custody on the warrants. During a search of the vehicle, deputies reported finding approximately 1.97 grams of fentanyl along with numerous pieces of personal identifying information belonging to other individuals, including names, Social Security numbers and bank routing numbers.
Haley was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and additionally booked on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The Sheriff’s Office said the identifying information could involve hundreds of potential victims. Investigators are working to identify and notify those individuals, and authorities said Haley is expected to face additional charges related to the information allegedly found.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The charges and allegations have not been proven in court. Haley is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
