Harris County, TX — A man wanted on felony and misdemeanor warrants is accused of assaulting a Harris County Precinct 4 deputy after authorities found him asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle overnight.

According to Constable Mark Herman’s Office, Deputy Lagoy responded to a loud noise disturbance in the 14000 block of Ella Boulevard and found the adult male suspect asleep behind the wheel.

Authorities said the suspect assaulted a deputy while being detained. Further investigation reportedly found that the man displayed several signs of intoxication.

Deputies also discovered the suspect was wanted on an open felony warrant for Aggravated Assault and an open misdemeanor warrant for Driving While Intoxicated.

The Constable’s Office did not identify the suspect or announce additional charges in the information released.

The allegations and outstanding charges have not been proven in court. The accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
