Lewisville, TX — A McKinney man has been arrested following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that began after Lewisville police received multiple CyberTips involving suspected child sexual abuse material.
According to the Lewisville Police Department, detectives began investigating in July 2026 after receiving the CyberTips through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Investigators identified Paulo Gonzales as a suspect and obtained arrest and search warrants.
On Aug. 26, detectives with LPD's Crimes Against Children and Internet Crimes Against Children units, along with members of the SWAT Team, executed the warrants at a residence in McKinney. Gonzales was located at the residence and taken into custody.
The Dallas Police Department's ICAC Unit assisted with the search and provided an electronics detection canine to help locate potential electronic and digital evidence.
Gonzales was charged with:
• Two counts of Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault
Police said one charge stems from a Denton County arrest warrant. A second charge was filed in Collin County based on material allegedly located during the search.
The charges are allegations. Gonzales is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
