Harris County, TX — A Harris County Constable Precinct 4 K9 helped reunite an 8-year-old boy with his family after the child was found wandering the streets overnight with no immediate way for deputies to determine where he lived.

According to Constable Mark Herman’s Office, K9 Sig and his handler responded and used a reverse track, following the path the boy had taken until the K9 located the home from which he had wandered.

The 8-year-old was then safely reunited with his family.

Shortly afterward, K9 Sig was dispatched to MUD 200 to assist with another search, this time for an elderly man with dementia. The man was safely located by other responding deputies.

Constable Mark Herman praised K9 Sig and the responding deputies for their work during both calls.
