El Paso, TX — A woman was taken into custody following a SWAT response Wednesday evening after a 14-year-old boy was found with stab wounds at a home in Northwest El Paso.
El Paso Police responded around 5:47 p.m. to the 400 block of Nordstrom Avenue following a reported stabbing.
Police said a 14-year-old boy was found suffering from stab wounds and was transported to a hospital. The El Paso Fire Department reported that one person was transported with serious injuries.
Three other juveniles — one boy and two girls — were also involved, according to police. Additional information about their involvement was not released.
The incident developed into a barricaded-person situation involving a woman in her 40s. SWAT officers responded to the residential neighborhood near Canutillo.
At approximately 10:20 p.m., police entered the home and took the woman into custody. Police said she will be charged with aggravated assault and was also being taken to a hospital to have her condition evaluated.
Authorities have not released additional information about what led to the stabbing or the 14-year-old's current condition.
The anticipated charge is an allegation. The woman is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
