Lavaca County, TX — Two Hallettsville men were arrested Thursday afternoon after deputies reportedly discovered approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, according to the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations and identified its occupants as Andrew Welch and Kyle Redding.

The Sheriff’s Office said a subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle revealed approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine concealed inside.

Welch and Redding were both charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Lavaca County Jail.

The charges are allegations. Welch and Redding are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
