Harris County, TX — Retired Champions Fire Chief Hilland Hardy has died, according to the Champions Emergency Services District.
The department announced Thursday evening that Hardy died September 3 surrounded by his family.
Champions ESD remembered Hardy for his years of service, leadership and dedication to the department and the community.
The department asked the community to keep the Hardy family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Funeral and memorial arrangements have not yet been announced. Champions ESD said those details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
