Rusk County, TX — The Kilgore Fire Department is responding to an oil well blowout along County Road 173 near the U.S. Highway 259 Bypass.
According to the department, the site is located between CR 173 and the U.S. 259 Bypass. Firefighters and personnel from the well service company are monitoring the situation and working to secure the well.
Officials said the well is currently producing a loud noise that may be heard in the surrounding area.
