Houston, TX — More than 36 years after the body of a young woman was discovered in Houston, authorities are still seeking information that could help identify her and return her name to her family.
The unidentified woman, known as “Houston Jane Doe,” was found January 29, 1990, in a ditch off the 11300 block of Fauna Street. Authorities believe she had died only a few hours before being discovered.
She was believed to be Hispanic and approximately 15 to 25 years old.
IDENTIFYING DETAILS
• Female, estimated age 15–25
• Short black hair, approximately 4 inches long
• Gold caps on both upper front central incisors
• Approximately 1½-inch-diameter scar on the inside of her upper left leg
• Pierced ears
• Red-painted fingernails
She was found wearing dangling dollar-sign earrings, a white pullover top bearing the words “Company Europe International” and “DE,” and blue “Sunrise Chicago” jeans with four front pockets.
