Fort Worth, TX — More than 25 years after Leroy Lewis disappeared, the Fort Worth Police Department is again asking the public for information that could help determine what happened to him.
Lewis was last seen May 22, 2001, in the 4200 block of South Freeway in Fort Worth. According to police, Lewis told his roommate he planned to travel to Buffalo, New York, after receiving a letter informing him of the death of a family member. He has not been seen since.
Lewis was born January 16, 1953.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about Lewis’ disappearance or whereabouts to contact the Fort Worth Police Department Missing Persons Unit.
Police are also specifically asking relatives or family members of Lewis to contact detectives regarding the submission of DNA for future comparisons.
