Houston, TX — A driver was shot and killed Thursday afternoon following an altercation with a pedestrian in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The shooting happened around 1:10 p.m. near the intersection of Archer and Cottage streets.
HPD said an adult male driver became involved in some type of altercation with a pedestrian. During the confrontation, police said the pedestrian pulled out a firearm and shot into the vehicle.
The driver then crashed. First responders found him deceased when they arrived.
Police said the shooter fled the scene on foot. No one had been detained or taken into custody as of the latest update.
HPD homicide detectives are investigating.
