San Antonio, TX — One person was killed Wednesday morning in a fiery crash along Loop 1604 that caused major traffic disruptions on the city’s North Side.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, one person died in the crash. Additional details about the victim or circumstances leading to the crash were not immediately available.
The incident was reported around 8:22 a.m. September 2 along Loop 1604 between NW Military Highway and Lockhill-Selma Road.
Westbound traffic was being forced onto the frontage road, with congestion reportedly extending back toward Blanco Road. Drivers in the area were experiencing delays of up to an hour.
Authorities had not yet released additional information about what caused the crash.
