Monahans, TX — Two people were arrested Wednesday after Monahans Police said an investigation uncovered an indoor marijuana grow operation at a residence in the 400 block of North Doris.
According to the Monahans Police Department, officers developed information indicating the residence was allegedly being used for the unlawful cultivation and manufacture of marijuana.
Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant, where police said they discovered an indoor grow operation along with equipment and materials commonly associated with cultivating, processing and manufacturing marijuana.
Authorities reported seizing marijuana, marijuana plants and suspected cocaine.
ARRESTS & CHARGES
Trista Jenay White, 41, of Monahans, was charged with:
• Possession of Marijuana >4 oz. <5 lbs. — Third-Degree Felony, Enhanced Drug Free Zone
• Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 >4G<200G — First-Degree Felony, Drug Free Zone
Kandwani Carthon Jr., 28, of Monahans, was charged with:
• Assault Family Violence Impeding Breath — Third-Degree Felony
• Possession of Marijuana >4 oz. <5 lbs. — Third-Degree Felony, Enhanced Drug Free Zone
• Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 >4G<200G — First-Degree Felony, Drug Free Zone
Police said the investigation remains ongoing and no additional details will be released at this time.

The charges are allegations. White and Carthon are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
