Mansfield, TX — Members of the Mansfield Police Department’s Volunteer in Police Service program got an up-close look at one of Fort Worth Police Department’s Air Support helicopters during a special visit Tuesday night.
Fort Worth Police Air Support Unit Pilot Michael Hume and Tactical Flight Officer Alexander Marti flew to Mansfield for the VIPS meeting and showcased the department’s Bell 505 Jet Ranger X.
According to Mansfield Police, the helicopter is equipped with thermal imaging technology and a powerful searchlight for around-the-clock operations.
The visit gave volunteers a closer look at how aviation resources support law enforcement operations across North Texas.
