Eagle Pass, TX — A traffic stop in Eagle Pass led to the arrest of a 45-year-old man wanted on an active federal warrant, according to the Eagle Pass Police Department.

Police said an officer stopped a 2023 Ford F-150 for a traffic violation on August 31. During the stop, the driver was identified as Jimmy Presley Hodge.

A records check revealed Hodge had an active federal warrant issued through the U.S. Marshals Service, according to police.

Hodge was taken into custody on the warrant. During an inventory of the vehicle, officers also reported finding drug paraphernalia.

Police said Hodge was initially transported to the Eagle Pass Police Department for processing before being transferred to a federal facility in connection with the outstanding warrant.

The specific offense associated with the federal warrant was not disclosed in the release.

The allegations are not proof of guilt. Hodge is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
