San Juan, TX — A man whose body was recovered from a canal Tuesday evening has been identified as 59-year-old Alejandro Quintero, according to San Juan Police Chief Leandro Sifuentes Jr.
Crews responded shortly before 6 p.m. to a canal north of the 600 block of East El Dora Road after a witness reported seeing a man fall into the water.
Quintero’s body was recovered from the canal at approximately 8 p.m.
Sifuentes said the preliminary investigation indicates the incident appears to have been an accidental fall.
No additional details were released.
