Mount Pleasant, TX — Deputies arrested William Owens on Monday after spotting him eastbound on Titus County Road 3210.
Deputies Kaden Orr and Andrew Cox knew Owens had an outstanding felony warrant for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. Orr saw him pull into a driveway and get out. He was taken into custody on the warrant.
A search of the vehicle found methamphetamine and marijuana, the sheriff’s office said. Owens was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony. He was booked into the Titus County Jail. No bond had been set.
Owens is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
