Taylor County, TX — A Sweetwater woman has been sentenced to 45 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after being found guilty of Injury to a Child, according to an update from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified the woman as Shyrell Hennessey of Sweetwater. She was found guilty on August 21, 2026, in a case involving her husband, David Quintana.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the case began in 2025 after a cybertip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office credited the Nolan County District Attorney’s Office, Sweetwater Police Department, Nolan County Sheriff’s Office and FBI for their work and partnership in the case.

Authorities encouraged community members to report suspicious activity or concerns involving the safety of children to local law enforcement or through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s tip line.
