Harris County, TX — All westbound lanes of SH 99 Grand Parkway are closed at Highway 249 after a person fell from an overpass and died Tuesday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. September 1.
The person was pronounced dead, and Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Houston TranStar reports all westbound lanes remain closed at the location, with major delays in the area.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
