Gainesville, TX — Gainesville Fire-Rescue is welcoming Firefighter/EMT Eric Eggen to the department.
Eggen was born in Sherman and moved to Woodbine in 2020. He began volunteering with Callisburg Volunteer Fire Department in 2025, where he developed an interest in the fire service.
He completed the Fire Academy at NCTC in 2025 and earned his EMT-B certification through First Responder Training Solutions in early 2026.
Eggen and his wife, Maddison, have one daughter, Aubrie. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing and golf.
“I’m looking forward to gaining as much knowledge as possible and growing every day, learning new skills and training to be better for myself, my department, and the community,” Eggen said.
