Orange, TX — Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas is renewing a call for information in the unsolved death of Beverly McBride, whose body was found in Orange nearly 19 years ago.
According to the cold case bulletin, McBride’s black Ford Five Hundred had been reported abandoned at 2850 Toccoa Street in Beaumont for several days before Beaumont police took custody of the vehicle on August 13, 2007. A missing person report was subsequently filed for McBride.
On September 1, 2007, at approximately 9:17 a.m., a decomposed body was discovered in the 2100 block of North 2nd Street in Orange. The remains were later identified as McBride.
The circumstances surrounding her death remain unknown.
The Orange Police Department is asking anyone with information about what happened to McBride to come forward.
