Addison, TX — Firefighters contained a second-alarm structure fire Sunday evening in the 14700 block of Marsh Lane, according to the Addison Fire Department.
Crews responded shortly before 6 p.m. August 30 and arrived to find heavy fire and smoke coming from a large townhome-style residential building.
Because of the size of the fire and the risk of it spreading to adjoining units, the incident was upgraded to a second alarm. Additional resources from Carrollton Texas Fire Rescue and the Farmers Branch Fire Department responded to assist.
Firefighters conducted an aggressive fire attack, completed primary searches and checked neighboring units for fire extension.
According to Addison Fire, crews were able to contain the fire to its area of origin, preventing it from spreading farther and limiting additional damage.
The Town of Addison Police Department also assisted with scene and access control while firefighters worked.
No injuries or cause of the fire were provided in the department’s release.
