Richardson, TX — A 41-year-old Berkner High School teacher was arrested August 28 on a felony charge of Online Solicitation of a Minor, according to the Richardson Police Department.

Police identified the teacher as Michael Ralph Fouse.

Investigators said the case began August 20 after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children provided a tip to Richardson police.

Detectives later obtained an arrest warrant and a search warrant for Fouse’s Richardson residence. Police said he was taken into custody without incident.

Fouse was charged with:

• Online Solicitation of a Minor — Third-Degree Felony

Richardson ISD placed Fouse on administrative leave after learning of his arrest and said it is cooperating with the police investigation.

The district said it will take appropriate action based on the findings of the criminal and personnel investigations.

Richardson police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact the department.

The charge is an allegation. Fouse is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
