Odessa, TX — A 42-year-old man died after a shooting early Sunday morning in the 13000 block of 42nd Street, according to the Ector County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies first received a report of shots fired around 1:45 a.m. on August 30. Additional calls came in minutes later reporting that a person had been shot.
Deputies arrived and located the victim, identified as Aaron Jordan, 42. Authorities said deputies provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived.
Jordan was transported to Medical Center Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His next of kin was notified.
Ector County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Later that day, Eduardo Sotelo was arrested in connection with the incident and booked into the Ector County Detention Center on:

The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released at this time.
The charge is an allegation. Sotelo is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
