Georgetown, TX — The Georgetown Police Department has identified the man who died following an officer-involved shooting on August 29 as 37-year-old Timothy Visa Xayyaraj.
According to police, Xayyaraj’s last known address was in San Marcos. The department said its records show no prior interactions with him before the shooting.
Georgetown Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available and as permitted by department policy and applicable law.
The department also said it is not conducting further on-camera interviews at this time in an effort to avoid speculation while the investigative process continues.
