Harris County, TX — A driver was arrested on a DWI charge early Monday after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle allegedly following another motorist, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 2.
Deputies received the call at approximately 1:20 a.m. on August 31 and responded to the area, where they located the reported vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
Authorities said deputies observed multiple signs of intoxication while speaking with the driver and began a DWI investigation. A breath sample was obtained, with results reportedly showing an alcohol concentration nearly twice the legal limit.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.
The driver’s name was not provided in the information released by the constable’s office.
All charges are allegations. The accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
