Harris County, TX — A brief vehicle pursuit ended with a stolen vehicle recovered and a suspect arrested after deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 11700 block of Northpointe Boulevard on August 28.
According to Precinct 4, deputies located the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly refused to stop and led deputies on a brief pursuit.
Deputies eventually stopped the vehicle and took the driver, identified as Joseph Wilburn, into custody.
Authorities said Wilburn is a convicted felon and allegedly swallowed approximately seven grams of methamphetamine during the pursuit.
Wilburn was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and later released.
He was then booked into the Harris County Jail on the following charges:
• Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle
• Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
• Tampering with Evidence
Total Bond: $150,000
Court: 209th District Court
All charges are allegations. Wilburn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
