Harris County, TX — A convicted felon who was already out on bond for an assault case was arrested following a weapons disturbance in the 3500 block of Dryer Park Drive, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Deputies responded August 26 after a complainant reported that Wesley Mourland had assaulted her and was in possession of a handgun. She also told dispatchers that Mourland broke her phone while she was on the call.
Deputies located Mourland walking in the neighborhood.
Further investigation revealed Mourland had two open misdemeanor traffic warrants through Harris County and was currently out on a $10,000 bond for Assault.
Mourland was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on the following charges:
• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
• Violation of Bond/Protective Order – Assault/Stalking
Bond: $50,000
Court: 208th District Court
All charges are allegations. Mourland is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
