Montgomery County, TX — A driver was arrested on a second-offense DWI charge after a traffic stop by a Montgomery County Precinct 4 deputy, according to Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s Office.

Authorities said the deputy initiated the stop after observing a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. During the incident, the vehicle allegedly nearly struck the deputy, followed other vehicles too closely and initially failed to respond to the deputy’s emergency lights and siren.

Following the investigation, the driver was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated — Second Offense.

No additional details about the circumstances of the arrest were released.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
