Nueces County, TX — A driver escaped with only minor injuries after a major crash early Sunday morning left two vehicles heavily damaged along FM 70.
According to Nueces County Constable Precinct 3, deputies responded at approximately 1:45 a.m. August 30 to FM 70 near County Road 73.
Authorities said the driver of a black Jeep struck a black four-door Kia that was parked and unoccupied on the south side of FM 70.
Despite the extensive damage visible at the scene, the Jeep driver was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. No one was inside the parked Kia.
Nueces County Sheriff’s deputies, Nueces County ESD 3, ESD 6 and the Texas Department of Public Safety also responded.
DPS is investigating the cause of the crash.
