San Antonio, TX — A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot Saturday in the 500 block of South Monumental Street on the city’s East Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers responded shortly after 9:30 a.m. and found the teenager with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
Police said the teen told officers he was in the area when he heard gunfire coming from a wooded area.
The teenager was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available.
Police have not determined a motive, and no arrests have been reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
