Waller County, TX — A multi-agency effort involving the Waller County Sheriff’s Office and Sealy Police Department led to the arrest of two wanted suspects and the recovery of hundreds of cosmetic items believed to have been stolen from stores across the San Antonio area.
Authorities said Sealy police used Flock camera technology on August 27 to obtain information about the suspects’ whereabouts and direction of travel. That information was relayed to Waller County deputies, who located the suspect vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 and conducted a traffic stop.
During the investigation, deputies reported finding marijuana and a large quantity of cosmetic merchandise believed to be stolen.
Further investigation connected the occupants to thefts involving multiple Walgreens and CVS locations in the San Antonio area, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities reported recovering:
• Approximately 786 cosmetic items
• An estimated $9,600 in merchandise
• Property connected to approximately 18 different stores
The merchandise was processed for return to the affected retailers.
The two individuals were also wanted on a combined 11 outstanding warrants issued by multiple Texas law enforcement agencies.
Both suspects were taken into custody.
All allegations remain accusations. Individuals arrested or accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
