Harris County, TX — Two drivers accused of racing along the North Freeway were taken into custody after deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office intervened.

Authorities said deputies initiated traffic stops after observing the two drivers racing near the 17400 block of the North Freeway.

Both drivers were taken into custody.

“Street racing puts everyone on the road at risk. Precinct 4 Constables will continue targeting dangerous driving behaviors to help keep our roadways safe,” Constable Mark Herman said.

ROAD SAFETY

Street racing can put drivers, passengers and others sharing the roadway at risk. Motorists should never participate in or encourage illegal street racing.

All allegations are accusations. Individuals arrested or accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
