San Antonio, TX — Power restoration efforts continued Saturday morning across the CPS Energy service area after extensive storm damage brought down power lines, broke utility poles and damaged trees.

CPS Energy said crews worked throughout the night and remain in the field restoring service. Because of the extent of the damage, some customers could remain without electricity for several days.

Residents without power are encouraged to make arrangements to stay somewhere cool and safe if necessary. Cooling locations are available through the City of San Antonio.

DOWNED POWER LINE SAFETY

Residents should treat every downed power line as energized and should never approach, touch or drive over one.

Report downed power lines: 210-353-HELP (4357)

Immediate emergencies: 911

Drivers approaching utility crews working along roadways should move over or slow down.

Additional updates are expected as restoration efforts continue.
