San Antonio, TX — Approximately 62,000 CPS Energy customers remained without power as of 5 p.m. Saturday following extensive damage from Friday night’s storms, with restoration efforts expected to continue for several days.
CPS Energy reported crews were working to resolve 678 outages and prioritizing more than 250 reports of downed wires.
Storm damage across the service area includes downed power lines, broken utility poles and damaged trees. Crews are working in shifts as restoration efforts continue, while CPS Energy’s Customer Response Unit has been deployed to areas experiencing the largest outages.

Residents who remain without electricity are being encouraged to make plans to stay somewhere cool and safe overnight. The City of San Antonio has Places to Stay Cool and Resiliency Centers available.
