Montgomery County, TX — Montgomery County Emergency Service District No. 6 – Porter Fire is mourning the loss of Captain Jesus Castillo, who died following a battle with cancer.
The department remembered Castillo as a respected officer, mentor and firefighter who dedicated his life to serving others through his leadership, professionalism and commitment to the community.
Throughout his career, Castillo served alongside fellow firefighters, trained and led others, and worked to protect the residents of the community he served.
Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough also shared his condolences Saturday, asking the community to keep Castillo’s family and members of the Porter Fire Department in their thoughts and prayers.
Castillo is survived by his wife, Taylor, and their children, Titan and Athena.
Funeral and memorial service arrangements are pending and will be announced when information becomes available.
