Leander, TX — A Jeep collided with a CapMetro commuter train early Saturday morning at the intersection of Hero Way and U.S. Highway 183, according to the Leander Police Department.
Officers responded just before 1 a.m. on August 29.
The preliminary investigation indicates the Jeep failed to obey a traffic control signal and entered the path of the train, resulting in the collision.
The 45-year-old driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital by Williamson County EMS as a precaution.
No other injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
