Bexar County, TX — A late-night traffic stop on U.S. Highway 281 ended with two men arrested, including a suspect who had been listed among the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Top 20 Most Wanted.
At approximately 11:53 p.m. on August 26, a deputy spotted a vehicle with defective equipment traveling southbound on U.S. 281 and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver initially did not cooperate with requests to identify himself, but the deputy recognized him as 54-year-old Magdaleno Murillo. Authorities said Murillo later provided identification, confirming his identity.
Murillo was wanted on four active arrest warrants and had been featured on the Sheriff’s Top 20 Most Wanted list in July 2026.
Authorities listed warrants involving:
• Continuous Violence Against the Family
• Violation of Bond/Protective Order Assault/Stalking IAT
• Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member
A passenger was identified as Roger Gonzalez, 54. As the vehicle was being processed for towing, authorities said Gonzalez removed a bag from the vehicle containing multiple firearms and methamphetamine.
Gonzalez was arrested on charges of:
• Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon
• Possession of Penalty Group 1 Narcotics, 1–4 grams
Both men were taken into custody.
