Marble Falls, TX — Colt Elementary and Marble Falls High School were placed back into Secure status at 12:40 p.m. Friday, according to Marble Falls ISD.
The campuses had previously been placed in Secure status earlier Friday due to nearby police activity. That status was lifted at 10:07 a.m. after Marble Falls Police advised the district it was safe to do so, although the police incident remained ongoing away from the campuses.
The district said the two schools were placed back into Secure status out of an abundance of caution.
Students are safe and are able to continue their school day inside the buildings. All exterior doors are currently locked.
The district said another update will be provided when the status changes.
