Montgomery County, TX — Two men were taken into custody Friday after a traffic stop led to multiple felony charges involving alleged copper theft and possession of methamphetamine, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office.
On August 28, Precinct 5 proactive patrol deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 33500 block of Comanche Trail.
Authorities said the occupants were subsequently charged with multiple felony counts of theft of copper and possession of a controlled substance, identified by the Constable’s Office as methamphetamine.
Both men were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
The Constable’s Office did not identify the two men or provide additional details about the individual charges in its initial announcement.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
