Lufkin, TX — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers stationed in Lufkin recently joined the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office and Lufkin Police Department for a proactive operation targeting illegal narcotics and firearms across the city.
According to DPS, the multi-agency effort took place over the weekend and resulted in illegal drugs and firearms being removed from the streets.
DPS did not provide details on the amount or types of narcotics recovered, the number of firearms seized, or whether any arrests were made.
The operation brought together state, county and local law enforcement personnel as part of a coordinated public safety effort.
