Hamilton County, TX — Texas State Park Police and Game Wardens assisted local and state law enforcement this week as the Rio Escondido Fire threatened communities in Hamilton County.
According to Texas State Park Police, personnel helped clear residences, assisted civilians using trailers to move livestock away from the affected area and secured road closures for public safety.
The agency reported that the wildfire is nearly, but not completely, contained.
Residents are being advised to cooperate with officials and avoid areas affected by the fire.
