Montgomery County, TX — A 55-year-old Montgomery man has been sentenced to 30 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice following an investigation into the online solicitation of a minor, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office.
Authorities said a Precinct 2 detective launched the investigation in March 2026 after learning that an individual was allegedly attempting to meet an underage child for sexual conduct.
Investigators identified the suspect as Billy Brown, 55, of Montgomery, who authorities said was a registered sex offender.
Brown was arrested March 10 and charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, a third-degree felony.
On August 6, Brown was sentenced to 30 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
