Nacogdoches, TX — A 31-year-old Nacogdoches man is facing multiple charges involving child pornography and bestiality following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, according to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office.
Jacob Elisha Giles was initially arrested June 30 after investigators executed a search warrant at his Pearl Street apartment.
The investigation began in June after the Texas Attorney General’s Office provided information regarding possible child pornography being downloaded over the internet. Authorities said the activity was traced to Giles’ apartment complex.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators found evidence of child pornography on electronic devices recovered during the search. Giles was initially booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail, and further investigation resulted in a second child pornography charge.
The devices were later submitted for additional forensic analysis. Investigators said the examination uncovered additional child pornography as well as evidence of bestiality.
Giles has now been charged with:
• Five total counts involving possession of child pornography
• One count of bestiality
His total bond has been set at $575,000. He remains in the Nacogdoches County Jail.
The charges are accusations. Giles is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
