Marble Falls, TX — Colt Elementary and Marble Falls High School have been placed in Secure status as a precaution while police respond to an incident near the campuses.
According to the Marble Falls Police Department, officers are currently working in the area of 1700 Mustang Drive. Police are asking the public to avoid the area and not approach or interfere with law enforcement operations.
Marble Falls ISD said there is no threat to either campus at this time and the Secure status was implemented out of an abundance of caution.
Under Secure status, students and staff remain inside the buildings with exterior doors locked. Classes and activities are continuing as normal.
Residents are asked to avoid the area while officers continue their work.
