Houston, TX — A 29-year-old Houston man has been arrested after investigators said he possessed numerous images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 1.
Jason Nguyen is charged with one count of possession of child pornography after detectives said the material was believed to have been downloaded from the internet.
Authorities said the material included images of a young girl posing with stuffed animals and a video depicting the sexual assault of a young girl by a naked assailant wearing a Scream-style ghost-face mask to conceal his identity.
According to the Constable’s Office, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is aware of the video, which authorities said was created years ago and has been illegally circulated online.
Nguyen was arrested by detectives with Precinct 1’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, which is part of the Houston-Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Constable Alan Rosen said investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have information about Nguyen or other cases involving the sexual exploitation of children.
Nguyen is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
