Harris County, TX — Two people were arrested after a traffic stop near the North Freeway turned into a short pursuit, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

Deputy Aspras attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the 16200 block of North Freeway when the driver fled, leading deputies on a pursuit.

The vehicle eventually stopped, and deputies detained both the driver and passenger.

During the investigation, K9 Tejas Briones located a suspected controlled substance, according to the Constable’s Office.

The driver was taken into custody on an Evading charge, while the passenger was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Authorities did not release the identities of those arrested or provide additional information about the suspected controlled substance.

Both individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
