Harris County, TX — The Harris County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office has announced the promotion of Sergeant N. Taylor, a veteran public servant with 39 years of combined military and law enforcement experience.

Taylor served nine years in the U.S. Navy as a military police officer before joining the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1994. During his DPS career, he served in the Highway Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division before joining Precinct 3 in September 2020.

According to the Constable’s Office, Taylor holds Master Peace Officer and Master School-Based Law Enforcement Officer certifications and has completed more than 12,600 hours of TCOLE training. He also holds instructor credentials covering several areas of law enforcement training.

The department recognized Taylor for his leadership, mentorship and continued commitment to public safety as he begins his new role.
