Harris County, TX — An early-morning medical emergency call at an apartment complex led to the arrest of a man on an outstanding stalking-related warrant and a felony family violence charge, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 5.
Deputies responded around 1:24 a.m. Friday, August 28, to an apartment complex in the 15200 block of FM 529 Road after a resident reported seeing one man lying in the parking lot and another inside a nearby open vehicle.
Authorities said both men were heavily intoxicated.
According to Precinct 5, one of the men provided deputies with a fictitious name and date of birth and allegedly told EMS personnel to give deputies false identifying information.
Deputies later determined the man’s actual identity and discovered an outstanding warrant for Intimidation (Stalking).
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted a charge of Failure to Identify as a Fugitive.
While speaking with the second man, deputies observed numerous bruises on his body. Authorities said the man disclosed multiple instances of violence allegedly committed against him by the suspect.
The District Attorney’s Office was contacted again and accepted a felony charge of Continuous Family Violence.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to jail. His identity was not provided in the release.
