North Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety is urging drivers to slow down and move over after a fire truck assigned to the Ross Fire was struck by an unsecured trailer.
According to DPS, the truck was responding to a flare-up when the collision occurred. Emergency personnel from across the country are currently assisting with firefighting operations.
DPS emphasized the danger first responders face while working along roadways and urged motorists to protect crews by slowing down, moving over and properly securing trailers and loads.
Slow down.
Move over.
